DmD-2003

The first DmD-Meeting

	After the "4th Belgian Deauville day" came the suggestion to organize an international meeting for Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands of the Belgians at the three country horizontal bar. A Netherlander came onto it of the suggestion: "why don't we make the first meeting directly in Deauville in France"? The meeting "Deauville meets Deauville" was born.
First we tried to get some contact to other european Deauville-Riders and more important: to find others who help to organize this meeting! They have been found - and our team of organizers has been established with Erik (France), Wim (Belgium), Marcel (Netherlands) and Engelke (Germany). Since then we intensively organize this first international meeting of Deauville-Riders in Deauville in june 2003 - for an unknown number of bikers. For the year 2004 the second meeting was organized in Luxembourg. The idea of riding to Luxembourg came of Friedrich from Germany. The base team was built up newly and consisted of Friedrich, Karel, Marcel and Helmut. This meeting is also now past but many pictures memories and new friendships leave the memory common on experienced not forgotten. It became the idea given birth to let the third meeting from the suggestion take place in the Alsace in the year 2005 to organize the meeting directly at the border France and Germany, many thanks to Walter_TUT. As main places the villages Malterdingen and Riegel were fixed at the Kaiserstuhl in Germany. The base team is strengthened by many friends from all European countries in the meantime and has become a large team now.

Marcel Wim	Erik has been corresponding and making telefone calls with the officials and the owner of the Café de Paris in Deauville. Engelke started to establish this website, adds incoming news and tries to keep it actual. At the end of 2002 Marcel, Wim, Erik and Engelke met in Brussels to become more concrete and to plan the further steps. Marcel has working for the DmD-community from 2003 until 2006, many thanks in the Name from the participants
Eric	At the beginning of january Erik has been in Deauville for some days to find a solution for some problems. He has been very successful so we are shure that the meeting will take part - irrespective of the numbers of participants and sponsors.
Engelke	In april 2003 Erik and Engelke met in Deauville to check this and that on the spot, record possible problems and remaining "homework".
"In the background" we now are working on remaining questions we ask the officials of Deauville, to print stickers, produce nameplates, order Caps, interest sponsors and so on... We are grateful for the support we get from other Deauville-Riders, for example Michele from Italy, Alain from France, Dimitris from Greece... and from Mr. Brangbour from the Tourist Office in Deauville and Mr. Paniér, the Honda-Dealer in Trouville.
