Linking external pictures

Dear all,
In connection with the discussion on "General Data Protection Regulation", we will not be able to integrate external images via the img-tag in the future.
Background: When the site is accessed, data is transferred from the visitor's browser to the server (where the images are hosted) without being transparent to the visitor of our forum.
Solution:
1) Upload your own images as attachments and insert them into your post
2) To include foreign pictures, insert the link in the form http(s)://... , a visitor has to click this link to see the picture
