My ride to St. Nectaire

Post by Michael_KLE » Sat May 29, 2021 5:10 pm

Hello DmD-friends,

the Dmd 2021 was cancelled by the french team, but nevertheless I decided to go St. Nectaire also without an official DmD
So I will take my camper-truck with my new Royal Enfield Himalayan in its garage on Saturday, 12th of june to start my journey to France.
I am planning to reach the camping in St. Nectaire on sunday-afternoon.

Who will do it, too?

Latest update:

From 31 May, travel to France from the UK is only permitted for EU nationals, French residents, or those travelling for essential reasons.

I reached St. Nectaire today, Sunday at 12.30.

1. Joining the pool in the Camping.
2. Walking to St. Nectaire, Bas and Haut.
3. Joining the Pool again.
4. Drinking some beer.

Cheers!

Due to a mid-week appointment, I unfortunately can't make it to France, so I'm using the next three days for a little trip and a little get-together with friends here as part of a distributed DmD meeting.

Have fun, whereever you are

Today I made the Cantal tour.
With a little unexpected and unsigned "deviation" I had 230 kms. 5.5 hours with a max. of 25 minutes stopping-time. Not the shortest trip.....but one of the 15 best DmD-tours I ever made.
Only small and twisty roads, best asphalt, up to 1.500 m, no trafic, best weather........but, the only very bad thing, without my DmD-friends.

So I'm waiting for Alain and some others.....in the pool.🤓
